Infrared Training for Cardiovascular Health

Did you know that cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in high-income countries like the United States? Infrared training can help to improve this statistic.

Evidence continues to mount suggesting that exposure to far-infrared contributes to the improvement of the health of people who suffer from cardiovascular disease. What about far-infrared as therapy for prevention of heart disease? And by-the-way, there should be more focus on prevention of disease!

Far-infrared sauna exposure reduces inflammation and improves blood circulation which results in reduced blood pressure. Infrared heat prompts the production of nitric oxide which causes vasodilation and an improvement in the rate of left ventricle ejection from the heart. The amount of oxygenated blood that is pumped out of the left ventricle is important for circulating blood to where it is needed throughout the body. A normal resting left ventricle ejection rate is 50-70% of the blood in the heart with each beat. If this rate improves, then more oxygenated blood gets delivered to where is has to go to keep the body energized and nourished.

According to one doctor who practices holistic cardiology for treatment:

“Patients have found improvement of their congestive heart failure symptoms by taking infrared sauna sessions 3-5 times a week. This type of sauna can also dramatically improve systolic blood pressure just after a 15-30 min session.” (1)

As reported by hightechhealth.com for prevention:

Far infrared therapy, such as in an infrared sauna, has been found in many studies to benefit vascular endothelial function [regulates the flow of cells and substances to from blood to tissues], lower blood pressure, reduce inflammation, and improve markers of heart disease.  In fact, long term regular sauna use has been correlated with an up to 50% lower incidence of death from heart disease compared with non-sauna users!

Study after study concludes that regular, long term far-infrared sauna usage reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease.

According to one study published in JAMA, the purpose of their research was to investigate the frequency and duration of sauna bathing with the risk of sudden cardiac disease (SCD), fatal coronary heart disease (CHD), fatal cardiovascular disease (CVD), and all cause mortality. The study concluded as follows:

Increased frequency of sauna bathing is associated with a reduced risk of SCD, CHD, CVD, and all-cause mortality. Further studies are warranted to establish the potential mechanism that links sauna bathing and cardiovascular health. (2)

The HOTWORX workout saunas emit 95% far-infrared during each training session to provide IR therapy during workouts. So, think about the combination of exercise during a sauna session. The fusion of the two will save yourself time and allow you to experience far-infrared while you are working out. The benefits are numerous and the workouts are almost addictive creating a positive habit to increase the quality of life and to extend life itself! This is all done with no adverse effects.

One article in the National Center for Biotechnology Information came to this conclusion:

FIR therapy may be closely related to the increased expression of endothelial nitric oxide synthase as well as nitric oxide production and may modulate the profiles of some circulating miRNAs; thus, it may be a beneficial complement to treatments for some chronic diseases that yields no adverse effects. The science tells us that we should have a regular practice of sauna bathing. We also know that exercise is vital for disease prevention, mental and physical strength and a better quality of life. This is why HOTWORX combines the two to give customers more for their workouts in less time. There is no need to workout then go to the sauna. Combine the two if time is important to you and if you are concerned about good cardio conditioning.
