Each week I talk to new HOTWORX franchise owners for Orientation Day on video. One of my main challenges to them is to set big goals for their new business. The average of anything should never be the goal. I always ask them if anyone in the meeting wants to be average and, of course, none of them ever want to be average. You have to focus on the top, though, if you want to break away from the average whether in business or with your personal fitness program. Strive to elevate yourself beyond the average!
Tony Robbins often speaks about breaking free from mediocrity by shifting your mindset and raising your personal standards. One of his most powerful quotes is, “The only thing that’s keeping you from getting what you want is the story you keep telling yourself.” Robbins emphasizes that people stay average because they accept limiting beliefs and settle for comfort over growth. He challenges individuals to demand more from themselves, to replace excuses with action, and to turn their “shoulds” into “musts.” According to Robbins, true change begins when you decide that being average is no longer acceptable and commit to living with purpose, passion, and relentless pursuit of excellence.
