A Tried and True Business

HOTWORX welcomes new franchisees, Amy and Antony Nicholas, who were awarded 3 franchise licenses in Denver, Colorado!

What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?

We have been looking for a new business "side project" for a while but nothing seemed to fit quite right. Tony is a chiropractor and it's hard work! Hard on the physical body and the mind. So, we've been looking for a way to bring in money but give Tony the opportunity (eventually) to step away from chiropractic without sacrificing financially. Kind of like our retirement plan!

What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?

With a franchise a lot of the early work is done for you. It's a tried and true business, it's been successful all over the country already, and you have non-stop support! Having resources readily available and not having to figure out what to do next is such a relief. And, it eliminates (some of) the fear of failure because I don't feel so alone.

What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?

HOT! And a sweaty sweaty mess but it felt so good! I like how many different workouts are available, and that if you're really feeling it that day you can combine a HIIT and something like yoga for a good balance.

How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?

It was smooth and organized and very professional. Mandy was always so kind and really tried to get to know us. She seemed to care about how we were doing and didn't just push us through the process. We got a good overview of the company and how studios operate on a daily basis.

How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?

Considering the circumstances, it was great. It obviously would have been nice to do it in person, but the whole process went well. It seemed like you guys have been doing it online all along! I can tell that everyone really knows their stuff and is passionate about what they do. It was also a good sign to me that most people have been with the company for so long! You're doing something right.

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?

Probably to try at least one session before you just jump into the process. Some of the modules were a little confusing to me at first because I literally couldn't picture how it all worked.

What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?

1. Infrared technology and the benefits just from that.
2. The Business Plan is great (quick sessions, 24 hrs, and pricing, etc.).
3. The opportunity for us to be on the forefront in Colorado, there's just nothing like this here.

What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?

Offering something totally new!

What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?

We want to have 800+ members (like we've heard about other studios doing!) and be able to get started on our 2nd studio by the end of our first year.

How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?

Amy - This is going to be such a learning process for me. It's going to help build my confidence as a business woman. I'm going to be pushed out of my comfort zone but that will lead to growth! I need to get better at sales and managing people.
Tony - I'm confident in the business side of things because I've built a business before. I'm looking forward to doing something new and all of the challenges that will come with it. We are so excited!
