HOTWORX welcomes new franchisee, Courtney Hartenstein, who was awarded a franchise license in the Denver market and will soon begin Presale at her Loveland, CO (Thompson Valley Towne Center) studio!
What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
I recently sold my 4D prenatal ultrasound business and we moved to Colorado for my husband to open an electrical and automation business. I am currently in health and wellness direct sales from home, homeschooling our son during the week and doing ultrasounds on Saturdays. Before moving I was going to a hot yoga studio 3 times a week. During the pandemic everything closed down and I was on the hunt for somewhere near me that was open and offering hot yoga. I came across a HOTWORX in my google search, but that is nearly 50 miles away from me. I thought it was an absolutely brilliant set up, especially during COVID. I could not stop thinking about it over the weeks to come. Then I started getting HOTWORX ads on my facebook newsfeed. Next thing I know, a friend in Nebraska checked in at a HOTWORX, so I took that as my sign. I reached out and she raved about the workouts. That's when I decided I needed to know more about the business and the rest is history!
What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
I have opened my own business previously, and while it was gratifying, it was hard not to have the community and the support on the business side of things. I absolutely love the concept of HOTWORX and there is no way I would ever want to attempt to replicate something like this on my own. Why try to reinvent the wheel when everything is already set in place for me here?
What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
You're going to laugh, but I have never been to a session. Being newer to Colorado, being home with my son homeschooling Monday through Friday, and working Saturdays, it has been difficult to find time to find a sitter and drive the hour away during open business hours. So, my friend and business partner in Vegas decided to check it out for me and she fell in love after day 1. I trust her with my life, so I know if she loves it then I will as well!
How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
It was fabulous! Mandy was very informative and open about everything. The Discovery Process really sealed the deal for me.
How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
I was so nervous and excited. Everyone was seriously fabulous. It was such a comforting feeling meeting everyone who seemed like they were such a tight knit family. It was also reassuring that they have all been in the business for so many years. Everything was so informative and made me even more sure of my decision to do this.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
DO IT! Check it out, go through the Discovery Process and see if it truly is a fit. ( I have a feeling I am going to be referring a lot of people)

There is nothing like this in the area. The cost for members is so minimal compared to the gyms here. The concept is so innovative and I think it's going to blow people's minds.
What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
I am definitely joining the 500 club. No doubt about that. I hope to get secure enough in the business through the first year that I can start thinking about another location.
How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
I am an entrepreneur at heart. My brain sees everything from a business/entrepreneurial stand point. I often joke that it's a sickness, but it tends to always work out in my favor so I'm glad to take this chance of a lifetime. I feel more secure and productive as a business owner. I want nothing more than to provide for my family. I strive for time freedom and financial freedom.
