HOTWORX congratulates franchisees, Helena and Lance Welch, who were awarded 3 franchise licenses in the Washington, D.C. (Hagerstown) market and recently opened their Leesburg, VA studio!
What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
The health benefits that we have both experienced from each session that we have attended. The benefits have been so significant that it just seemed to make sense that we open a studio so we can reap all the benefits. Lance is in finance and Helena is in Accounting/HR, but these are not our passions.
What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
We both believe in the quality of HOTWORX and what it stands for. It is not just another exercise studio. It is a way of life, a change of life for a healthier happier you from the inside to the outside.
What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
I fell in love with how I felt afterwards. The infrared energy and detoxification was magnified on a whole new level that I had never felt before.
How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
It was good - a lot of information and nice that we could go at our own pace to get to the point that we were ready to move forward. Kayla was always very helpful and supportive in the process and never pushed us. Overall, it was a great experience.
How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
It was overwhelming, exciting, fun, energizing, and a very significant turning point in our life journey. We were at a fork in the road and it made sense to choose the road we had never traveled before and we believe that this was the place we were supposed to be at this point in our life.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
You should want to love it and not just do it because you think you can make a quick buck. It is something that takes a lot of work but if you see the benefits and have lived the benefits then really think about what is truly holding you back. Make a list, as they always help!

What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
Successfully open our 1st studio, have 888 memberships in the first 2 months, and work to open our second studio.
How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
It helps us diversify our income in looking towards retirement, as we are only getting older and our kids are growing up fast. It will help with our children’s future not only with money but the life experience of being an entrepreneur and showing them “Yes You Can.”
