Capitalize on the Opportunities

HOTWORX congratulates franchisees, Katie and Alan Becker, who were awarded a franchise license in the Lincoln & Hastings-Kearney market and opened their Crete, NE (Main Ave.) studio this year!

What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
We were intrigued to connect with the HOTWORX brand through connections with two sets of owners that we consider friends (Katie & Jake Whitefoot and Leanne & Luther McCoy). We are pre-sale members of the first Lincoln, NE location and understand the benefits of this unique workout and growing business opportunity. With the encouragement of our friends, and HOTWORX owners, we jumped in, and are very excited about it all!

Alan has a comprehensive sales background, and truly understands his customer and makes a point to create a connection with each person. Within the last five years, he has created a local property management company, acting as General Contractor, Landlord and Sales Associate.

Katie has a background in advertising, marketing and promotions, and in 2013, she created a side-hustle making and selling Tasty Good Toffee, a brand she created from her Grandma's holiday toffee recipe. The business has grown year-over-year through in-person sampling, wholesale partnerships and online sales, and in January of 2017, we took this opportunity from hobby to full-time. This allows us time to both grow the business and have more flexibility to be present for our family.

We have three awesome, entertaining and busy kids, and we love having the time to be part of their lives. All of our business pursuits give us the daily opportunity to show them the value of building something of your own, working hard and giving back to your community.

What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
Based on our experience as HOTWORX members, and our connection with current owners, we recognized the unique business opportunity, and wanted to be part of it!

What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
It was HOT and I loved it! I'm a fan of a good "Bonfire" session. Alan enjoys multiple Hot Blast sessions, back-to-back.

How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
We enjoyed it. The pace seemed appropriate.

How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
It was great to see everyone come together and meet with us to share their stories and bring us into the HOTWORX family.

What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?
1. We believe in the brand.
2. We believe in the concept of infrared heat and the HOTWORX model of 3D Training.
3. We are excited to bring this exercise to this new community.

What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
This is an exercise concept that is not currently available in this area. We hear that the community is very excited, and we hope they all take a chance to Earn The Burn!

What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
Aside from crushing the membership goals, we hope to establish a new space for wellness and growth, while getting more involved with the area and community.

How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
As new franchise owners, we hope to grow along with the company and capitalize on the opportunities in front of us to help bring this national brand to a deserving community.
