HOTWORX congratulates franchisees, Michael & Steffani Letchworth, who were awarded a franchise license in the Greenville-New Bern-Washington market and recently opened their Winterville, NC studio!

What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
I, Michael, have two restaurants that I own and operate that have been in business since 2015 (Sam Jones BBQ). Steffani is a NP in Cardiology full time and also owns a Medspa (Alive Wellness and Aesthetics). She has been interested in infrared therapy since we took her business brick and mortar in 2023, but we use that space for other types of treatment. She first pitched the idea of looking into bringing HOTWORX to our area in late 2023. I blew off the idea since I was happy with where we were with quality of life and success of our current businesses.

I first went to a HOTWORX in spring of 2024 with my brother in law. I witnessed the experience from us booking our workout on the app the night before, through entry, exercise, and exit. As soon as I got back to the house that day, I told Steffani we had to do it. I knew our community needed this experience and I loved the business model, specifically the labor model. I am drawn to solution based companies and products, and I believe HOTWORX checks those boxes for the customer and the Franchisee.

What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
We own independent businesses and liked the idea of franchise support but also really believe in this brand. We felt with our business experience teamed with the leadership of HOTWORX we could really find success.

What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
I was sold on the ease of entry, length of workout, and just vibe of the space.

How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
The Discovery Process was comfortable and informative.

How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
Orientation Day was laid back, educational, and motivating.

What advice would you give to other candidates considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
I would tell candidates it’s important to understand that regardless of a proven concept and substantial support, the work must be put in to make the location successful.

What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?
1. New concept to our market
2. Leadership well-experienced in franchise models
3. Low staffing requirements

What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
We’re excited to offer more results in less time and a new approach to fitness in our area.

What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
We would like to see a membership of 600 members and for HOTWORX to begin to be a household name in our community.

How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
This business will help us diversify our current portfolio of businesses, but also give Steffani and I a chance to truly be partners in a business together. We both own and operate independent businesses, so we look forward to experiencing franchise support in many of the areas that keep us up at night in our personal businesses.
