What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
Both of us work in the Health Care setting (hospital and home health) where we are expected to be readily accessible should any issues arise. Being on call and working when you are supposed to be off got old quick. Of course, 20 years later, the stress of highly demanding jobs was causing stress in other areas and we both had enough. We needed a change and, what seems like a truly divine intervention, HOTWORX pops up. We filled out the short application and forgot about it. The next day I got an email that asked us to set a time for a phone call. Teresa was our sign from God.
What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
My spouse wanted more than the 24/7/365 job that pays like 8-5. He kept on saying we should be making money for ourselves. He had applied for Chick-Fil-A and I thought, “Great, there goes me trying to lose weight.” After researching what HOTWORX is all about, I knew this had to be it. Early 40’s, mother of two little girls and handling a full-time job has been difficult to manage all these duties and working out. We wanted a change much quicker than running an independent business would entail.
What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
I loved the idea of HOTWORX even though we had not stepped foot into a studio. The first time we got to see the concept was at the San Antonio convention. Having quick workouts and 24/7 access was the selling point immediately.
How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
Our experience has been unbelievable. Teresa and the whole team made us feel at ease and she was just wonderful and so knowledgeable. She made us feel like longtime friends.
How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
I have been to a handful of orientations in my life and this meeting was so organized and informative. I still would have preferred an in person meeting even if I had to fly over. This is a big commitment and expensive that I believe all incredibly important decisions should be made face to face. Body language does not transmit well over video conference calls.
What advice would you give to other candidates considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
Maybe I cannot say this but “just do it.” I love the quote “Burn the boats” but only after being financially ready.

What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
Everything. I am excited to bring this new concept to my community.
What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
My Goal is to be at 155 memberships pre-opening and 500+ club. Within 6-8 months of opening the 1st location, we’d like to start on opening our second location.
How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
On our personal goals, HOTWORX will help me conquer my fears of being able to start something that is completely dependent on our dedication and sacrifice. On the professional side, HOTWORX will help me accomplish financial freedom and help others like our current profession.
