What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
I'm a Director of Sales & Marketing and Chris is a Fleet Management Service Tech. I have been making other businesses money for many years, and finally said it's time to take my skills and use them to build something for us. I know I can only sell something I love and believe in and it became evident over the past few months that HOTWORX fell into this category.
What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
We have friends that have been involved with both franchising and independent businesses, so we knew some of the pros and cons of both. However, after speaking with Tony and Jenny, the franchisees of our local studio, about their great experience with HOTWORX through the whole process and how easy it was if you just follow the checklists, we knew this was the best route for us to go for owning our own business.
What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
I LOVED everything about it...how I was by myself and not being looked at or judged by others in an open gym; how accomplished I felt when I left because I was able to go at my pace and not feel ashamed for not being the BEST at the workout; how I was able to control the temperature, which being a control freak means a lot, and being that I was scared originally of the high temperature making me sick, I liked knowing I had the control.
How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
We worked with Kayla and she was exceptional! She made it feel more personal and relaxed, and was very understanding of our fears and reservations regarding feeling rushed. We didn't feel like she was pushy or trying to just "sell us," and we looked forward to our calls with her each time.
How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
It was a long day, but extremely informative. I'm glad Chris and I both were able to attend together. The "happy hour" after was fun, but it really allowed us to laugh and connect and see that HOTWORX really is a "family."
What advice would you give to other candidates considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
Don't wait!!! The system is so well thought out with continuous support the whole way!
What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?
1. The low franchise fee
2. All the support from start to finish, being that we have never opened a "storefront" business before
3. The "product" is something we love and were promoting to everyone we knew anyways
What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
We're most excited to hear the stories of how HOTWORX has impacted their lives because we know it has impacted ours in such a short amount of time.
What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
I'm super competitive and believe in setting high goals to run hard for. I am aiming for the 1000 member club!
