HOTWORX congratulates franchisee, Kelly Hollabaugh, who was awarded a franchise license in the Charlotte market and recently opened her Rock Hill, SC (Celanese) studio!

What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
I'm currently over the US operations for a global real estate asset manager, but I've always been interested in starting a business. I like the idea of having something that is mine that I can build on where the success ultimately falls to how I alone run the business.

What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
I like that there is a successful program that is laid out rather than starting from scratch. A lot of lessons have already been learned. I've had other business ideas and opportunities, but they would've meant that I'd have to leave my current position to pursue them. This feels like a great fit for me.

‍What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
The first session that I took was Hot Pilates. I'm typically not someone who sweats a lot (it's even a joke with my trainer...like, did you even workout??), but during that first session I was dripping with sweat. The workout was challenging and not just because of the heat. The thing I really noticed was how good I felt after the workout. I was hooked.

‍How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
The Discovery Process wasn't what I expected. I really didn't expect to have so much information or to have someone walk me through the documents. The 6 weeks flew by.

‍How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
It was a lot of information, but it really made me more excited to get started. I thought the Executive Team had great chemistry and that the company culture seemed very positive. I thought these are people that I would like to work with.

‍What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?
1. I liked that the concept is unique.
2. I like that, as an owner, the technology will allow me to see real time performance even if I'm not on site all day everyday.
3. I like that the demand for locations is not yet met.

‍What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
I'm excited to offer people a workout that has benefits beyond the traditional workouts and it can fit into literally any schedule.

‍What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
Two of my goals are to be a top franchisee and to open at least 1 more location.

‍How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
Professionally, I've always wanted to be a business owner. HOTWORX will allow me to do this while keeping a job that I love. Personally, HOTWORX has helped me continue to achieve my fitness goals. I can see myself getting better every session.
