Taking the Path of Least Resistance

HOTWORX welcomes new franchisee, Sunny Edmiston, who was awarded 3 franchise licenses in the Sacramento-Stockton-Modesto, California market!

What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?

I had been working for the same company for the last 20 years and was looking for something totally different.  It’s always been a goal to own my own business.

What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?

There’s something to be said about taking the path of least resistance.  I didn’t want to start from square one and liked the idea of having a business partner I could trust.

What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?

I haven’t actually had a HOTWORX session yet as there are no studios in my area.  I do have experience with heated yoga which helped me to make the decision to go into this industry.

How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?

I really enjoyed the Discovery Process and looked forward to my appointment with Nancy every week. There’s a lot to understand so it was actually good that it’s spread out over several weeks so I could digest the information and formulate questions for the next session.

How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?

My Orientation Day was held virtually for obvious reasons.  I would have preferred to meet everyone in person but none the less I was so impressed with the whole team.  My career experience is with one of the largest, most successful companies in the world so I have high standards for the way a corporation is run.  I have to say that HOTWORX has it together!  Everyone I’ve met is organized, confident, and capable.  This is no rinky dink operation.

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?

I would advise that someone considering this business do their own research on the many mental and physical benefits of heat therapy.  Once you understand how you will be helping people, or even better if you’ve experienced the benefits yourself, I think you will see how easy the decision becomes.  Helping people and solving their problems equals good business.

What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?

1. I believe in the product we’re offering.
2. The experience and competency of the company.
3. The ability of the franchisee to be a business owner but hire a manager to run the day to day.

What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?

It’s something my community has never seen before and it’s going to give me the opportunity to be much more involved in my community which is something that wasn’t possible in my previous career.

What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?

Besides the company set goal of 500 members by month five, I want to have 1000 members by the end of the first year.  My second goal is to mentor and develop the manager I will need for my second location from the team of the first location.

How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?

HOTWORX has already helped with my main professional goal of transitioning from employee to business owner.  The next goal is to get my first location up and running and make it profitable!  With all the knowledge and support that HOTWORX offers it really just comes down to flawless execution on my part.
