HOTWORX congratulates franchisees, Jennifer and Brian Montgomery, who were awarded a franchise license in the Dallas-Fort Worth market and recently opened their Stephenville, TX studio!
What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
We are seeing a lot of growth in our local community and just feel like it is the right time to invest in a business here. My husband and I both have careers that require us to work out of town and we feel a pull to be more involved and connected to our local community.
What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
We have been involved in independent businesses in the past and will continue to do that as well, specifically with regards to real estate and agriculture. However, we really were interested in a business that was focused on health and wellness. In that business, we feel like brand matters and really carries a lot of weight. For the type of new business we were wanting, a franchise with strong branding and business support felt right.
What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
We have been fans of infrared saunas for some time. We are also lifetime fitness enthusiasts and I am a certified yoga teacher. Combining all of this into one workout experience was really amazing to us. Our initial impression of HOTWORX convinced us we needed to seriously consider this as a business.
How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
The Discovery Process is very well designed for its intended purpose. It is a sales pitch for HOTWORX and it is a good one. It does a good job of getting potential franchisees excited about the possibilities. At times I felt like it was a bit too much of a sales pitch, and that I was pushed to not look too deeply into some of the information. The timeframe is also structured to keep things moving at a quick clip. However, the process works very well for what it is intended to do.
How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
Orientation Day was a download of massive amounts of information. It gives a very good overview of the various teams within the organization and how a franchisee will interact directly with each. I was impressed with how organized each group was, the thoroughness of the information they provided, and the personal enthusiasm of each of every person I encountered during Orientation Day.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
Do your own homework. Get excited about the possibilities you will learn about during the Discovery Process, but dig into your local area and form your own thoughts about how HOTWORX will do in your market. Be honest with yourself about your interests, capabilities, and skills. Then you can go into this feeling 100% committed.
What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?
1. It is unique with its market offering
2. It is current, modern, relatable, and affordable
3. It aligns with our personal values of improving fitness and achieving overall wellness
What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
We see that HOTWORX will fill a niche in our local community that nothing else here quite can do. We think it will be attractive to a large segment of our local population and will be a real asset to the growth in this area.
What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
In our first year, our goal is to establish a strong presence in our community, become locally known and recognized as a brand, form a great team, have fun, and own a profitable business!
How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
HOTWORX will help us transition professionally away from the corporate world and lifestyle and more towards personal ownership and local community involvement. It will shift our focus from petrochemicals and Oil & Gas industries more towards our heart’s interest in fitness and wellness. Personally, we hope it will allow us to spend more time at home and less time on corporate travel, allowing us to spend more time with our kids and enjoy their high school years.
