HOTWORX congratulates franchisees, Katie and Jeff Sharp, who were awarded 3 franchise licenses in the Los Angeles market and recently opened their Santa Clarita, CA (Copper Hill) studio!

What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
I've been looking to open my own business for the last 10+ years. I worked with my husband, Jeff, for the last 10 years after meeting him to start my own insurance agency. Life had different plans. I started working with Jeff as his new location coordinator and was responsible for helping new agents with their training and their new offices. We have now been married almost 5 years, and with my kids in college and high school, I now have the time to follow my dreams to start my own business.

What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
We found out about HOTWORX Franchising on The Bradshaw Bunch show and I had never heard of HOTWORX until then. The idea was just amazing and I was so fascinated in learning more about the concept and brand. I spent a few months visiting locations in Las Vegas and Arkansas, along with working with a HOTWORX Recruiter to get more information. I am very much a systems person and really like how HOTWORX is there to help every step of the way.

What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
Once in Vegas, I met Holly Marietta at her HOTWORX studio and I did the yoga and cycle sessions. It was fantastic!!! I loved that it wasn't just a gross hot room, I could breathe, and I felt amazing. I have since visited 3 more locations in Arkansas and found it is an amazing way to start my day.

How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
The Discovery Process was very thorough and well done. We really appreciated all the detail and follow up from everyone.

How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
It was so exciting to put faces to a name/email. We really liked that almost all the different departments spent time introducing themselves and letting us know the different roles they will play moving forward.

What advice would you give to other candidates considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
Do your research and visit a bunch of locations that are owned by different franchisees. We found that even though most of the locations look and feel the same, the franchisees all have great ideas that are unique to their locations.

What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?
1. Low Labor Costs
2. Franchise fees and opening costs are low compared to other brands
3. The support that HOTWORX has shown and given us

What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
What excites us the most about offering HOTWORX here in Santa Clarita is the fact that California is very much a place where people like being healthy and fit. The market we live in is a perfect demographic for HOTWORX.

What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
Open 2 locations within the first year and be working on a third, 600+ memberships at the first location, and to embrace and understand all the nuances of HOTWORX like checklists, timelines, training, etc.

How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
I am already seeing that HOTWORX has the systems and support for me to help me understand and achieve my goals.
