February 1 marks the launch of the 2026 Season 5 Show, and at its core, this is not simply a reality show competition—it is a mission-driven journey to identify the seven instructors who will have the opportunity to impact hundreds of thousands of HOTWORX members worldwide. Winning a spot means more than earning the title of VI. It means becoming a daily guide for people stepping into an infrared sauna with the goal of changing their bodies, their habits, and often their confidence for life. People often tell me that HOTWORX has changed their life. A big part of results like that is the impact of the virtual instructors.

HOTWORX was built on innovation, from infrared-accelerated training to the patented sauna experience and the 3D Training Method. But the technology only works when it is paired with elite instruction. The virtual instructor on the screen becomes the face and the voice members trust, the energy that pushes them through discomfort, and the consistency that keeps them seeing results and coming back. That responsibility is why the path to becoming part of the Top 7 is intentionally demanding.

Each year, more than 150 certified fitness instructors from across the U.S. and internationally apply, all knowing that only seven will earn the opportunity to lead workouts viewed millions of times by customers inside HOTWORX infrared saunas. The competition narrows quickly, first to the top 40 who advance to an online round that tests not only physical excellence, but leadership, professionalism, and the ability to inspire others—all while raising money for veterans in need. From there, just 15 move on to the live competition, where every cue, every transition, every posture, and every moment of composure is evaluated under pressure of lights, cameras, judges and franchisees in the audience.

What separates those who win is not simply athleticism. It is the understanding that their performance will directly affect real people—members looking for efficiency, motivation, and results. A Top 7 instructor must coach clearly when members are fatigued, inspire effort when motivation is low, and deliver consistency session after session. Winning means earning the trust of the franchisees, corporate judges, and then to deliver to the members who may only have 15 or 30 minutes to train, but expect maximum impact every time they step into the sauna. It is the job of the VI to deliver the company promise of MORE WORKOUT, LESS TIME!
