HOTWORX congratulates franchisees, Michele Durham & Reed Kleintop, who were awarded 3 franchise licenses in the Fort Myers-Naples market and recently opened their Naples, FL (Airport) studio!

What originally motivated you to consider a business opportunity?
Michele: I'm a holistic health practitioner and have a medical grade infrared sauna in my office and understand the benefits. I also practice hot yoga (well used to when I had more time). My partner's daughter mentioned HOTWORX at college and I loved the concept. When my daughter mentioned she is practicing and I saw the benefits in her, I pursued a franchise as I’m very passionate about community and being of service to others.

Reed: I have been looking for an opportunity for the past several years. I looked at a food franchise and a private franchise, but when Michele and my daughter mentioned the HOTWORX franchise, I said, "let’s go for it!"

What led you to explore franchising rather than an independent business?
Michele: I've had my own independent business for four years now and know all the work that goes into creating the processes, systems, and having the right people. I like that HOTWORX has done all this for me.

Reed: Michele is a very good businessperson and she saw the outstanding opportunity presented here.

‍What was your initial impression of your first HOTWORX session?
Michele: I loved it and it went by so fast. I was already interested in pursuing the franchise and I think the owner at the San Angelo location in Texas thought I was a secret shopper. She was so knowledgeable.

Reed: Well, I have not had a workout at HOTWORX yet! Don’t worry! I will soon, but I am in the height of my season so time is tight.

‍How was your experience going through the HOTWORX Discovery Process?
Michele: The Discovery Process was great and very informative. I knew it was a go but we did expedite it as much as possible.

Reed: I thought it was very straight forward and Michele led me through it.

‍How would you describe your Orientation Day and meeting the HOTWORX Executive Team?
Michele: I felt like Orientation Day was a lot of information and time! Some of it would have been good to absorb and ask questions the next day, but I know as we go through the checklists and process to build, those questions will be answered in time.

Reed: The Orientation Day meeting was great. I took a lot of notes and learned so much. The passion is clear!

‍What advice would you give to other candidates considering the opportunity to franchise with HOTWORX?
Michele: I would say, "Do it for the right reasons!"

Reed: I would tell others to look at it seriously and know that the team has thought the entire process out from A to Z.

‍What are the top 3 reasons you chose to franchise with HOTWORX?
Michele:
1. I believe in the infrared technology to help with healing and health.
2. I love the concept of 24/7/365 – this is what I wanted for my independent business, but that business is more than just saunas and requires more sensitivity to environment and noise.
3. I love that the systems are built and is proven, having worked out most bugs.

‍What excites you the most in offering HOTWORX to your community?
Michele: I'm most excited to be a leader in healing & health for people of all ages and at a level that all people can participate.

Reed: I'm excited to create healthy lifestyle for members, becoming known in the community, and expanding with more than one studio.

‍What goals do you plan to accomplish in your first year as a HOTWORX franchisee?
Michele: My BHAG is to have 1000+ members.

Reed: In our first year, I want to exceed membership goals, OPEN, and get the process started for more locations!

‍How will HOTWORX help you achieve your personal and professional goals?
Michele: My personal goal is to be financially free and able to donate more time and money to those in need. Professionally, I want to keep growing physically strong and reversing the aging process.

Reed: This could be a new avenue, very different than my current profession, but incorporating my expertise in Customer Service and Professionalism.
