WILL BAAY

Will is a native New Orleanian, currently living in Baton Rouge, where he manages the HOTWOX Highland at Airline location. He has an athletic background. While playing high school football, which included extensive strength and conditioning training, he sustained several injuries from play on the field and also in the weight room. Since then, Will has used that adversity to better empathize with HOTWORX members and always prioritizes safety above any other goal.

Even in early childhood, Will shared a passion for fitness thanks to the inspiration of his loving parents. His very first experience with virtual instruction came from Billy Blanks on his mom’s Tae Bo VHS workouts. Under the guidance of his dad, Will began developing his VO2 max in middle school. His dad introduced him to cycling and taught him how to pace himself during long distance running. Shortly after that, Will went to Sears to buy his first weight bench and has since branched out to explore and adopt as many different fitness modalities as possible. 

Will began his professional fitness journey in 2015, starting with group fitness. He got his Schwinn Indoor Cycling Certification and started leading classes during graduate school at LSU. He has earned several additional certifications and incorporates as many schools of thought and positive influences as he can in his programming. Will believes the path to a healthy life necessitates a truly holistic approach, including a disciplined fitness and nutrition regimen, but also a positive mental routine (regulating his central nervous system through the practice of yoga) and a devoted spiritual practice (he’s a practicing Catholic and makes an effort to celebrate other faiths whenever he can). Embedded in this holistic approach to health and wellness, Will feels it’s his responsibility to help as many people as possible. We are only here ourselves because we are all here - as the African philosophy Ubuntu suggests, “I am because we are.” The HOTWORX network and Virtual Instructor platform provide the best opportunity for him to fulfill that calling, so he tried out for the 2026 VI Competition. Now, he’ll be giving you everything he has to build the happiest, healthiest version of YOU!
