Announcing The Book, Hot Exercise

Break Your Limiting Mental Patterns!

I have written article after article on the topic of workout consistency and its importance for training measurability and ultimately for best fitness results. For fitness beginners and for many who are past the beginner level, they have not yet arrived to the place where they understand this. They need to break the limiting mental pattern of thinking that they should do something different during every workout with respect to postures or exercises within any given workout type. This thought pattern is shortsighted and stems from lack of training experience mostly.

A Franchise is a Team

In the late ’80’s and early ’90’s I was a licensee of three Gold’s Gym locations. At that time, Gold’s was “licensing” out their brand name rather than full on franchising of a system of operations. I really enjoyed being an owner of Gold’s Gym locations, and still love to take trips out to the original Gold’s known as the Mecca of Bodybuilding in Venice, CA. I always say that if you can’t get motivated in that gym, then you just can’t be motivated.

Calorie Burn, Sweat, and Level of Fitness

In last week’s blog post I shared evidence showing how the sweating process accelerates for individuals who have been training and making fitness improvements. I showed that basically, as an individual obtains better fitness conditioning they will sweat faster and in higher volumes. I also pointed out that sweating faster allows the body to cool down quicker for longer and more intense workouts. With this in mind last week, I began to wonder about the calorie burn of an individual who is in better shape.
